Free Music Rocks - when I’m buying music I’m usually so cautious. When there’s actual money at stake I wait and think and ponder and then often take the “safe route.” But when people give me music gift-certificates or I win a free song from a pepsi bottle I usually buy something impulsive. Sometimes I really enjoy what I get, sometimes I don’t, but it’s nice to have the freedom to be impulsive.
I haven’t heard of this artist yet, but my first impression is that she is worth investigating - Krystal Meyers (also try here). I will say that I generally feel a sense of revulsion when I see musicians posing on their album covers; many people with phenomenal talent don’t make it because they don’t have a pretty face. However, I refuse to judge a book by its cover, and it is wrong to stereo type someone’s musical ability because of their looks. FYI, it looks like she’s with Essential Records.
In case you’re wondering, I got a free song from AIM and bought “Sarah Smile” because of Ginny Owens’ recommendation in her celebrity playlist. ;-)
