I spent very little time feeling sorry for myself
“I spent very little time feeling sorry for myself”: Go Daddy founder and president Bob Parsons: An interesting read. Note that like many of us, according to his recount of his rise to success, the key to HIS success was for HIM to pull HIMSELF up after each and every failure so that HE could try again. This allowed HIM to struggle HIS way to the top. He very generously comments at the end of his blog that he couldn’t have done it without the support of his ex-wife. This is the epitomy of pride and self reliance. In a sense, it’s a very inspiring article about overcoming defeat and adversity, and you can tell from the many comments posted in response to his blog that others have used his article as motivation to keep going.
I, personally, feel that self reliance is my biggest stumbling block. I only seem to succeed when I admit that I can’t do it on my own and need the help of others, especially God, to achieve my full potential.
Interestingly the company he founded, Parsons Technology, is the creator of Quick Verse. He sold the company though (however he owned it when they released Quick Verse).
